In this little paper I will try to convince admins, webmaster
and in general everyone is concerned to secure a web site of how
dangerous can be a XSS hole. I will not cover in depth what XSS
is because there's a huge library on this topic available on
internet and on http://www.hackerscenter.com/library
--[ 2.0 XSS So what's XSS? XSS stands for cross site scripting,

This article offers several security issues that every Web site
owner or developer should be aware of.It's important to be aware
of these issues because for many organizations, a Web site is an
integral part of their processes, and any downtime can result in
costly maintenance work, lost business, or upset customers.
First and foremost, you should only grant access to those who
need access. For example, if you will be the only one uploading
files to the site, no one else should have FTP ...

How DO Spammers Get Your Email Address?
As much as I try to stem the seemingly endless flow of spam, the
crap just keeps arriving my Inbox.
For example, this week I received "New affiliate programs from
2004-02-10 to 2004-02-14 :: Subscription from
http://WeAreBlahBlahBlah.net".
I'd never heard of WeAreBlahBlahBlah.net, let alone subscribed
to the newsletter. But the address used explained exactly how
the spammer reached me.
I've set up numerous 'special' addresses for customers,
affiliates, ...

Microsoft scores one for the good guys Scott Richter, the
self-proclaimed 'Spam King,' just can't seem to get enough
attention. Admittedly responsible for sending literally billions
of Unsolicited Commercial Email messages (UCE), Richter made
headlines again recently when his spam-fed cash cow,
OptInRealBig.com, filed for bankruptcy protection in U.S.
federal court in his home state of Colorado. According to
Richter's father (who is also his attorney), 'It's the legal
fees that are battering ...

There are many Make Money Fast (MMF) websites out there that
tell you it's possible to, well, you know, do just that; make
money fast. However, did you know that although some owners of
these MMF systems have made a total revenue between $300,000 and
$500,000, they're likely to be the same ones that turn up
missing later on down the road, on the run with hundreds of
thousands of consumer dollars? A dangerous situation to find
yourself in.
So why do people do it?
I'll tell you why. It's because ...

In building a successful web site coming up with a great idea is
10% of the work. Implementing that idea is another 20%. The
other 70% is actually making someone see your site.
Building traffic to your site is a hard thing. Much harder than
you think before you actually try it. There are many software
products out there that claim they can bring you thousands of
visitors per day in just a week or so. Don't buy them. No
product can do that. But there are some which can greatly aid
you in ...
